Même si comme tous les classiques comme "Blowin' in the Wind", "The Times" et "It Ain't Me", j'écoute plus trop l'original, j'aurais toujours de l'affection pour l'un des premiers morceaux de Dylan que j'ai adoré d'amour tendre.

Et la version du "Bootleg Series Vol.4" est peut-être ma performance acoustique favorite du Zim.
J'en disais ça dans une chronique il y a longtemps :

"L'harmonica sur "M.Tambourine Man" me fait pleurer. C'est la mort d'un homme, la fin d'une époque, un tas de sentiments qui s'envolent à chaque fois qu'il souffle dans ce maudit harmonica, comme si son âme lui échappait. Je crois bien que le moment le plus émouvant de toute la discographie de Dylan, c'est cet harmonica, à ce moment précis."

Très bonne utilisation à la fin du film de Todd Haynes d'ailleurs.

Et je crois bien que ça, c'est l'un de mes couples favoris aussi de tout ce qu'il a pu écrire :

C'est ma chanson préférée, je la connais par cœur.

La version du bootleg 4 est magnifique, surtout l'harmonica, mais pour moi rien ne vaut l'original.

en effet, l’enchaînement de sad eyed lady et cat blanchett dans la voiture en dylan "à bout", et ce solo d'harmonica qui résonne en final, c'est du grand art ! j'en ai des frissons à chaque fois

j'aime beaucoup cette chanson, je ne m'en suis jamais lassé par rapport à d'autres "classique" aussi bien dans sa version originale que dans les performances live. Celle de Londres 1993 au Fleadh Festival est ma favorite, après celle du bootleg vol.4, tout de même !

C'est une chanson sur laquelle Bob devrait revenir en live, surtout avec la voix qu'il a en ce moment

Contrairement à Gengis, Ezra (et surement beaucoup d'autres), cette chanson, au mieux, m'indiffère. J'avoue la zapper dès que je peux, notamment sur l'excellentissime Zénith 2003.

Grave erreur à mon humble avis.
Les versions originales de ces années-là restent mes préférées. Souvent de loin.
Sauf la forte concurrence du bootleg vol 6. Et puis aussi, les longs hululements d'harmonica du vol 4 pour Mr Tambourine Man.
