- Tout comme "Man in the Long Black Coat", cette chanson fut écrite pendant les sessions de l'album produites par Daniel Lanois à la Nouvelle-Orléans, juste après une pause de plusieurs jours où Dylan a passé du temps avec sa femme. Il s'agit d'une ballade intimiste, où Dylan fait allusion à son parcours, à sa période religieuse et mêle mélancolie et romantisme. Il existe plusieurs version alternatives du morceau, datant de ces sessions.
- Dylan joua le morceau lors de son "MTV Unplugged". On le retrouve sur le CD mais la chanson fut retiré du DVD de l'émission.

Hazel, cette chanson se trouve bien sur le MTV unplugged

Je l'ai tjs vu comme un hommage à une personne disparue

Encore une bien belle mélodie.
